I have to admit that I’m feeling

just a ‘little bit proud’ of what

our team has created inside the

pages of this W17 catalogue. Over

several days old friends, new

friends, family, gorgeous children,

ponies, dogs and chickens all

gathered together in a very

special home, not only bringing

our products to life, but capturing

the essence of French Country

Collections and what it is to live

an inspired life.

Layered into the fabric of this

winter collection is “a season

of contrasts” – the secret to

staying on trend this winter. You

will find us mixing styles more

than ever this season, industrial

with glamour, french, vintage

and modern. Our peasant style

serveware in a hearty mustard

colour is juxtaposed on a fine

linen, lace edged tablecloth aptly

named “Emmeline”. We mix

colour and pattern with aplomb

in the bedroom, layers of muted

blues and greens to inspire

the most ardent minimalist to

layer up this winter. With navy

emerging as the hot colour of

2017 we have introduced navy

in a velvet buttoned headboard

to add to our stable of bedroom

furniture and also in the ‘oh so

cosy’ long haired Mongolian fur.

Long gone are the days of bright

‘look at me’ metals and hard

geometric lines as interiors move

into softer more subtle shapes,

muted metal finishes and clever

antique effects once more. As far

as favourite pieces go this season

– there are too many to list! But

if you are not familiar with the

Knox Chair (pg 26), take a look.

In this beautiful velvet blush,

there is definitely one destined

for my house this season!

As winter approaches and we

all move into cocooning mode

blankets are a key seasonal

accessory. Check out our

showcase on blankets, soft and

luxurious, colourways which add

a shot of colour to brighten the

winter day (pg 30). Winter really

is the absolute best time to enjoy

the interiors you create, and your

home the best expression of who

you are and what you love.

If you are thinking that there

is something different about

French Country this season,

you are right! I am really excited

to be introducing our refreshed

logo, which brings a fresh and

modern typeface together with a

classic monogram and nod to our

heritage. Coinciding with our

30th Birthday year, we will be

rolling this out through the year,

so watch this space.

Enjoy!
